Hey new friend, I’m Tammica
single mom of five wildly different (and super loud, I mean…interesting) kids, ages 6 to 15.
I’ve got three daughters, two sons, and a whole lot of stories. This motherhood journey didn’t exactly follow the script. At one point in my life, I had to rewrite the whole thing from scratch—with a baby on each hip and a toddler climbing the furniture.
But here’s the thing: I didn’t want to just survive motherhood. I wanted to enjoy it. Even the messy parts. Especially the messy parts.
I created this space for moms like me—the ones who love their kids fiercely but are done pretending they have it all figured out. I believe you can be an amazing mom without being a perfect one. I know for a fact that laughter is medicine. And that connection matters way more than control.
You won’t find rigid routines or polished Pinterest answers here. Instead, you’ll find honest stories, parenting truths people don’t always say out loud, and permission to be exactly who you are. I’ll share how I’m navigating motherhood, healing, and life in general—with humor, heart, and a lot of grace when things go sideways (because they always do).
You Don’t Have to Do Parenthood Alone
(Or Without Laughing)
Let’s face it—raising kids can feel like a full-contact sport some days. That’s why I’ve created a space where moms can catch their breath, crack up, and connect in some way. Whether you’re looking for advice that comes from the heart, a good story to remind you you’re not the only one winging it, or just a reason to laugh out loud between carpools, I’ve got you.
Here’s how I can help: dive into blog posts that mix heart and humor, subscribe to my weekly email for encouragement that actually hits, swing by for a quick dose of “Mom Meds” (because parenting without memes is a missed opportunity), and send in your questions—I’ll tackle the real stuff nobody wants to talk about. And soon, you’ll be able to join a no-pressure parenting forum where we can figure it all out together. Real moms. Real talk. Real connection.

FUN FACTS
A Few Things You Might Not Read in a Parenting Book...
From NICU miracles and stage lights to emergency management shifts and mountain hikes with preemies strapped to my chest—my story’s a wild ride. Some moments are hilarious, some are humbling, and most involve a kid (or five). Here’s a peek behind the curtain of my beautifully chaotic life. Spoiler: I still haven’t broken a bone, but I have broken into spontaneous song… more than once.
I’m a singer and I love to perform on stage. It’s been quite a while but I dream of getting back to this one day.
I sang backup for Barry Manilow at a big LSU show in college. I gained so much respect for who he is as a person and an artist. He was so much more than “Copacabana.”
I met one of my childhood favorite musical groups twice in one weekend, in two different cities. Took tons of pictures and made the best memories. Someone took the film without my knowing and I never even got to see any of those pics. The stories aren’t as potent without the supporting evidence. It goes to show that pictures can be so valuable.
All five of my children were NICU babies, due to a medical condition that I have. I’m grateful they are all strong and healthy now. That’s not everyone’s experience.
I went to 18 different schools from Kinder to 12th grade. The crazy thing is that I only went to one high school so all of that movement was through my middle school years.
My favorite food has been ice cream for my entire life. I keep thinking it will change but then I butter pecan and…
I have a favorite child and a least favorite child. Sshhh…don’t tell anyone. (You’re wondering if this is actually true right now, aren’t you?)
I met Maya Angelou when I was in college and I got to spend some time with her. Out of respect, I tried to remain quiet so that she could rest her mind between appearances. What in the world was I thinking?? It’s freaking MAYA ANGELOU!!!!! I should have been asking like a thousand questions!! Forget her rest…I needed life lessons! Good thing she wrote down a thing or two for us all to remember…
I have never broken a bone in my body. Every day, I pray that my first personal experience with broken bones doesn’t happen in my parenting experience. That’s one I am happy to skip..
Do we have anything in common?
If you found yourself nodding along (or laughing out loud), I’d love to hear from you.
Shoot me an email and tell me which fun fact made you say, “SAME.” Or share one of your own—I’m always here for a good story and a little connection.
